Education: MESDT Student Teams

During the 2007-2008 academic school year, four teams participated in the MESDT beta test; Livonia High School in Livonia, NY, John Dewey High School in Brooklyn, NY, Durham Academy and surrounding area schools in Durham, NC, and Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Missouri.

The beta test is ongoing to refine the program with hopes for a larger student effort in late 2009. If you are interested in organizing a team for future CRISM/MESDT efforts, please have your teacher email the ASU MESDT Program Manager or the APL MESDT/CRISM coordinator.

Experiencing another aspect of a scientist's work, some MESDT team members attended and presented posters at the 39th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in League City, Texas, March 2008.

Not only was the conference an opportunity to showcase their work, it was a chance to meet other students, mentors and advisors face to face for the first time.
